Casey Sokolovic

16-year-old Casey Sokolovic is a native of North Carolina and the founder of L.A.S.T. (Love A Sea Turtle) whose motto is lets “Help Them LAST.” She began supporting sea turtles at the age eight following a third-grade field trip to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue Center in North Carolina. She has grown and evolved her advocacy efforts from baking and selling turtle-shaped sugar cookies into an educational outreach program and outdoor environmental summer science camp that helps students trace the path of fresh water to the ocean’s coastline. She works with other activists and speaks about sea turtles to young people and adults across the U.S.A.
